S|p are the brainchild of mike mann (known to friend and foe as hatter pixie). combining elements of guitar rock and synthy pop melodies, we're trying to raise the lost art of melody-driven music back from the dead. 

stabbing pixies run a wall-of-sound sequenced and sampled "murder track" behind an elaborate live guitar setup.

numerous differently voiced guitars fed into multiple guitar amps give us our live dynamic.

ideally we use a live percussionist, and female singers where possible: alternatively we can keep it all in the can, and riff off against the samples as they are pushed trough the on-stage p.a

wht you hear at a gig is pretty much our "bleed mix": essentially the same monitor mix that is fed through for the live musicians, together with the line outs from the live instruments and vocals. and yes, a lot of the sequencing is spur-of-the-moment stuff, and we do make it up as we go along.
